The Louisiana Association of Broadcasters is pleased that it will once again offer scholarships to qualified students to assist in the pursuit of career goals in the field of broadcasting.
The purpose of this fund is multifold:
to encourage a higher standard of professionalism in the broadcast industry;
to foster a stronger relationship between higher education and the industry;
to promote a greater understanding of journalistic ethics and the societal responsibility of broadcasters; and
to provide support to promising future broadcasters.
As many as two (2) scholarships, in the amount of $2,000.00 each, will be awarded to each of the selected recipients, $1,000.00 for the fall semester and $1,000.00 for the spring semester, providing eligibility requirements are maintained.
