WINNFIELD, LA — A Louisiana native rapper was shot and killed in Winnfield, La.
Officials confirmed to our sources that Lil' Snupe, aka Addarren Ross, was killed during the early morning on Thursday, June 20. However, they did not provide many details on what occurred.
We're told no arrest has been made at this time, but it is being handled as a homicide investigation. The Winnfield Police Department is handling the case, and said to the media they will release a statement later today.
The incident was leaked via social media due to a tweet from his manager. It said, “The call I got this morning is un real... RIP…” The message has set off a storm of response via fans and hip-hop blogs.
The rapper got his big break in 2012 when he was signed to the label Dream Chasers Records by fellow rapper Meek Mill.
Ross recently turned 18 on June 13. He’s originally from Jonesboro, La., which is located in Jackson Parish.
