Alexandria & Pineville Convention & Visitors Bureau names director of sales

Julie Bayone has been named the new Alexandria/Pineville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Director of Sales.

“Julie has been on our staff for several years and is familiar with every market we reach in Central Louisiana,” said CVB Executive Director Sherry Ellington. “She is a natural fit for Director of Sales. She is well respected in the community as well as in state and regional organizations, and will make a great leader for the sales team.”

The CVB’s sales team covers a variety of markets, including religious, multicultural, military, corporate, associations, government, fraternal, sports, and tour and travel (group tours).

Julie has eight years’ experience with the Bureau, and more than 15 years of management, sales, marketing, customer relations and administrative experience. She is skilled in all aspects of setting and achieving organizational goals, designing and implementing strategic plans, establishing and maintaining key client accounts, and quality customer relations. She is also skilled in the coordination of special promotions and events, cold calling and utilization of referrals.

Julie, a Holy Savior Menard graduate, earned her with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Louisiana Tech University. She has completed Management Development Training, Jerry McKinney Sales Training Multi-Cultural Leadership Training, and Professional Selling Skills Training.
She currently serves on the Jazz on the River committee, the 101st Airborne Celebration committee, Martin Luther King Day Planning committee, the Military Affairs committee with the Chamber of Commerce, and the Veteran’s Memorial Tribute Service Planning committee.
