Bomb threat found on plane en route to Monroe Regional Airport

A bomb threat note was found on a plane that has landed at Monroe Regional Airport.

Monroe Regional Airport Director Ron Phillips said they received word from the FAA operating at the Monroe Regional Airport Tower that a "bomb threat" note was found aboard American Eagle Flight #3648, which was inbound from Dallas, TX (DFW) and scheduled to arrive at 10:26 am.

The plane has landed and is isolated on the East side of the airfield. Emergency Response and Monroe Regional Airport officials will undergo their necessary protocols in regard to the personnel and traveler safety, examining the plane, and handling passengers & the flight crew.

The FBI, NTSB and other Emergency Response crews have been notified and have responded to Monroe Regional Airport. The Monroe Police Bomb Squad is also at the airport.
