De Soto Parish workers injured in fracking accident

Three people are fighting for their lives after a gas line explosion in De Soto Parish.

The fracking accident happened around 3 p.m., close to the city of Frierson on Highway 175 near Gravel Point Road. The line was over pressurized and blew up, according to firefighter Chris Shadoin.

Of the three workers injured, one was hit with sand blast to his face and had to be flown to a Shreveport hospital. The other two were struck by a pipe and transported by ambulance to a Shreveport hospital. Fire officials say all three have life-threatening injuries.

The well explosion was brought under control quickly and poses no threat to the surrounding area.

Really it is a very sad incident that three people are trying very hard to survive as they were severely injured in a franking accident. Well it was really a horrible accident and the accident took place on the highway which was extremely dangerous as many vehicles are crossing the roads every moment.
