Louisiana acting connection to new movie "The Hunger Games"

The Hunger Games debuted this past weekend. The blockbuster brought in $150 million.
There's a Louisiana connection to the blockbuster. Judd Lormand, originally from Lafayette but now lives in Baton Rouge, has a role in the movie.
He even was a part of the premiere of the movie in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago.
Lormand's role is a peacekeeper in the new country of Panem. The movie was shot in North Carolina.
Lormand says his speaking part got cut out of the movie, but he's still in a major scene.
"Honestly, I feel great," Lomand says. "I couldn't be happier... just started acting when i was very young, and then (I) got away from it because when I graduated high school, you had to move to L.A. and New York, and now L.A. and New York have come here."
