ALEXANDRIA, La. — The Libertarian Party of Louisiana’s (LPL) State Central Committee will meet in Alexandria on July 28 at The Cottage Restaurant in Alexandria at 11:00 a.m.
The public and press are invited, although reservations are required. Present at the meeting will be all LPL Officers, as well as candidates for U.S. Representative.
The LPL plans to put a candidate up for election in all 6 congressional districts, something no third party has done before. Even the Democratic Party hasn’t fielded a full slate of congressional candidates since 1994.
The LPL will soon announce candidates for 3 of the state’s 6 congressional districts, a step no other third party has ever taken. The LPL is the fastest growing political party in Louisiana.
