No luck for Jindal's SUV on St. Patrick's Day

Monday, March 18, 2013 - 2:49am

Two Louisiana State Police SUV's were involved in a crash with a "box" rental truck Sunday afternoon on Nicholson Drive in Baton Rouge.

A rental truck making an illegal U-turn struck the side of the first SUV, carrying Governor Bobby Jindal and a State Trooper. The State Trooper, driving the second SUV, suffered minor injuries after hitting a utility pole to avoid the truck. The Governor and State Trooper in the first vehicle reported no injuries.

A supervisor from Troop A in Baton Rouge will be investigating the crash. The driver of the truck was cited for "Improper Turn."
