Louisiana (NBC33) — According to the Secretary of State's Office, the number of people across the state that voted yesterday is about the same as the 2008 Presidential Election.
According to unofficial results, turnout was just over 67 percent for Decision 2012.
Long lines were a common scene all across Baton Rouge for most of yesterday, with the average wait time to cast a ballot between an hour and an hour and a half.
No major voting problems were reported to the Clerk of Court.
An official turnout number isn't expected until next week when the votes are certified.
