HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (WGMB) — Courteney Cox and David Arquette are a step closer to officially ending their marriage.

Arquette filed for divorce from Cox in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to People Magazine.

The magazine reports the Arquette, 40, cited irreconcilable differences and is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their daughter Coco.

Cox, 47, and Arquette announced their separation in 2010.
