HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (WGMB) — Country music star Kellie Pickler is showing her hairstyle solidarity.

Her best friend was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and starts chemotherapy soon.  So both women shaved their heads.

The American Idol alum says she hopes the move inspires women to start getting mammograms before age 40.
