GALVESTON, Tex. — School is out, and it’s time that folks start looking for summer fun.
As gas prices rise, many may be staying closer to home this year. Galveston has always been an economical, close-to-home destination for a summer getaway with beautiful beaches, historic downtown, the brand new Pleasure Pier and of course Moody Gardens, one of the state’s largest tourist destinations. Check out animals from the newly enhanced Rainforest Pyramid.
In addition to the wide variety of attractions, Moody Gardens has the new Bodies Revealed exhibit running through September 9 featuring fascinating real human bodies. Moody Gardens has expanded the Bands in the Sand summer concert series with fireworks every Friday and Saturday starting June 8 through August 11 at Palm Beach, where guests can also enjoy the new lazy river, wave pool and tower slides.
