BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA) — A familiar name around town is hoping to start a new Christmas tradition with a song he wrote.
The "Silver Magic Santa Bell" was written by Scott Innes, who is the man original voice of Scooby Doo. Singing the new tune is country music star Neal McCoy.
Innes says this song was written so kids can still get excited about Santa, but also remember the true meaning of Christmas.
"Something about holiday becoming so commercialized and how 9/10 kids couldn't tell you true meaning of Christmas," Innes said.
Innes wants to launch the "Silver Magic Santa Bell" nationwide. If all goes as planned an actual "Silver Magic Santa Bell" along with an embossed letter from Santa will be sold in stores just in time for Christmas next year.
