BATON ROUGE, LA — The LSU baseball team will be playing for the best start in program history Friday night when they take on the Kentucky Wildcats.
The Tigers will take their 27-2 record into the game one of the three game series hoping to match what the 1986 team has done when they opened that season with a 28-3 record.
Sophomore Aaron Nola will take the mound for the second-ranked LSU Tigers. Kentucky will counter with lefty A.J. Reed.
Kentucky took two out of three games from Paul Mainieri’s squad last season.
