BATON ROUGE, LA — With May temperatures warming up, more motorcyclists are taking to the roads and highways again.
A rally was held at the State Capitol on Sunday, April 26, to bring awareness that May has once again been proclaimed Motorcycle Awareness Month.
Those who ride for work and for fun say they can never stress enough just how important it is for drivers to stay alert and keep cyclists alive.
“I went to five funerals in one week,” shared Kerry Chaisson, director of the New Orleans chapter of the Motorcycle awareness campaign. “We all have to realize we share the road.”
The state has proclaimed May motorcycle awareness month for several years now.
