BATON ROUGE, LA (WVLA) — LSU freshman running back Jeryl Brazil has been suspended indefinitely after being arrested and charged with simple battery and simple criminal damage on campus Friday afternoon.
LSU Police say Brazil grabbed a woman by the neck and pushed her down onto a sofa before punching a hole in the wall at her West Campus Apartment.
Brazil did not travel with the team to Oxford for the Ole Miss game. He has only played in one game this season.
It was Brazil’s second arrest in as many months. The defensive back/running back was also arrested and issued a misdemeanor summons September 11 after a fight with a fellow student on campus.
