HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Actress Yvette Wilson has died on Thursday due to her battle with cervical cancer.
Wilson portrayed the character Andell Wilkerson on two primetime comedies on the now-shuttered UPN television network between 1996-2004. She co-starred alongside singer Brandy in Moesha. She also played Andell on the show's spin-off The Parkers alongside Oscar winner Mo'Nique.
Moesha co-star, Shar Jackson, remebered Wilson via Twitter Thursday. "Oh God. My heart is soooo unbelievably broken," she posted. "I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but God has chosen to take my sister Yvette home."
Yvette Wilson was 46 years old.
