LOUISIANA — Isaac weakened around 2:00 p.m. to a Tropical Storm on Wednesday as he moved further inland.
Currently, winds are sustained around 70 mph. The eye is pushing across south Louisiana toward Baton Rouge and should arrive by late afternoon. Heavy rains will continue through the evening and overnight. This slow-moving storm is moving northwest at 6 mph.
Tropical Storm Warnings continue from Cameron, La., to the Alabama/Florida border.
Winds are sustained around 25 mph and gusts are reaching the low-40s. A tornado watch continues until 4:00 p.m. Wednesday and a Flash Flood Watch until 7:00 a.m. Thursday.
New Orleans has experienced almost one foot of rain so far. Winds are currently near 54 mph.
