Shady's Bar also named in the lawsuit
BATON ROUGE, La. — Our sister station, WVLA-TV in Baton Rouge, has confirmed four people are suing former LSU football players Jordan Jefferson and Josh Johns, along with Shady’s Bar in Baton Rouge, after an alleged fight that happened outside that bar back on August 19, 2011.
According to the suit, the men suing say they were hurt by Jefferson and Johns, and Shady’s didn't do enough to protect them. The plaintiffs attorney Michael Bienvenu declined to comment or talk on camera. He told WVLA-TV that everything he needs to say is the complaint.

The defense attorney Lance Unglesby said, "This is not a surprise. We expected that this would be forthcoming. We always said since day one that this was money driven. We've said this was somebody with their hand out that was trying to take advantage of Jordan and his success and his family’s success. That's all this is. We would like to see the criminal case dismissed and then we can get on with the civil case. There are no injuries to the individual that made the accusation and so that makes it a meritless lawsuit.
