NATIONAL NEWS — College sports are big business -- Just how big?
A recent study shows just how much money is being spent on college athletes.
The American Institute of Research revealed that in 2010 the Southeastern Conference spent over $160,000 per athlete. That's opposed to the $13,000 spent on the average student on campuses in the SEC, which is 12 times less on the students than the athletes.
