The New Orleans Saints made a trade with the Arizona Cardinals to draft Brandin Cooks with the 20th overall selection in the NFL Draft.

Cooks is a wide receiver who played college at Oregon State. He was listed as the fastest wide receiver in the draft and ran track in college at OSU.

Cooks set a Pac-12 record with 1,730 receiving yards on 128 receptions. He won the Biletnikoff Award last season.

The Saints hope his big play potential helps their already dynamic offense.

Cooks had more plays of 20+ yards than any skill-position player in college football in 2013. The NFL Draft continues Friday with the second and third rounds.
