He said he didn’t want to talk about it. Then he did. LSU head coach Les Miles told the media what he wanted in his new offensive line coach on Tuesday at a press conference where offensive lineman La’el Collins announced he would return for his senior season.

“He’s gotta be a guy that can show us he can improve what is already a pretty good line,” Miles said. “He’s got to have run-pass technical expertise. He’s gotta have guys he’s put in the league. Coaching in the league is a thought, not necessarily a prerequisite but a consideration.”

Miles said he’d like to have a new coach hired in the next 7-10 days. Greg Studrawa left the program after the 2013 season. He coached the offensive line for the previous seven seasons at LSU.
