First death during Hurricane Isaac reported

ABBEVILLE, La. (WVLA) — Hurricane Isaac claimed its first victim in Louisiana on Tuesday.
Vermillion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon says Carlos Medellin-Guillen, 36, of Erath, died.
He went to help two friends move a vehicle from under a tree on Tuesday, and fell to his death after climbing 18 feet up that tree.
The Sheriff’s Office still doesn’t know why Guillen climbed the tree.
He was identified today after his family was notified.
