LOUISIANA SHELTERS

STATE SHELTERS:

RED CROSS SHELTERS:

If you are evacuating to a Red Cross shelter, you must first enter one of the information points listed below. At each location, you will be assigned a shelter location to evacuate to based upon your family's needs.

MISSISSIPPI SHELTERS


FORREST COUNTY

Forrest County Community Shelter opening at 5:00 p.m. Monday at 946 Sullivan Road in Hattiesburg.  This is a pet-friendly shelter.

HANCOCK COUNTY

Three shelters opening at 2:00 p.m. Monday.

JACKSON COUNTY

Storm shelters in Jackson County open Monday at 4 p.m.

  • East Central High School
  • St. Martin High School
  • Vancleave High School


The shelter location for residents with special needs will be East Central Community Center on Hwy 614 in Hurley. Special needs patients that are oxygen-dependent or have other medical needs that do not require hospitalization should pre-register by calling American Red Cross at (228) 762-2455. Special needs patients must have a caregiver accompanying them.

Jackson County Animal Control will be standing by at each site and will house your pets at an offsite shelter, according to Pascagoula officials.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY

Two shelters opening:

  • Northpark Church - 7770 Highway 39 North, Meridian
  • North Crest Baptist Church - 3412 North Hills Street, Meridian
     

NESHOBA COUNTY
